Abstract

"APARELHO E MéTODO PARA GERAçãO DE MENSAGENS DE EXIBIçãO NA TELA USANDO MODO DE COR REAL". Aparelho e método concomitante para a geração de uma mensagem de OSD pela construção de uma corrente de bits de OSD definindo uma pluralidade de pixels de "cor real". A corrente de bits de OSD contém um cabeçalho de OSD e dados de OSD. Uma unidade de OSD recupera a informação de controle de pixel do cabeçalho de OSD que é programado por um processador de um sistema de decodificação/exibição. O cabeçalho de OSD contém informação que é usada para programar uma paleta cor da unidade de OSD e proporcionar instruções quanto ao tratamento dos dados de OSD. Se o "Modo de cor Real" está habilitado no cabeçalho de OSD, então a unidade de OSD desviará da paleta e tratará os dados de OSD como pixels de cor real. Desde que os mesmos componentes de crominância são partilhados entre um par de pixels sucessivos, cada conjunto sucessivo de quatro bytes de dados de OSD representa os níveis atuais de crominância e luminância para dois pixels de OSD.
