Abstract

<B>Patente de Invenção de "MOLéCULA DE áCIDO NUCLEICO, POLIPEPTìDEO ISOLADO, PROCESSO PARA PRODUZIR A SINTEASE II DE FOSFATO DE CARBAMOìLA DE "Plasmidium falciparum" OU UMA PORçãO DO MESMO, RIBOZIMA OLIGONUCLEOTìDEO ANTISENSO, E FORMAçãO DE POLINUCLEOTìDEO"<D>. A presente invenção proporciona uma seq³ência de nucleotídeo codificando sintetase II de fosfato de carbamoíla de Plasmodium falciparum. Sintetase II de fosfato de carbomoíla catalisa a primeira etapa de limitação de taxa e empenhada na via biosintética de pirimidina. P. falciparum baseia-se exclusivamente em síntese de pirimidina de novo devido a sua inabilidade de salvar pirimidinas. Células vermelhas de sangue humano maduras, contudo, não apresentam exigência reconhecida para um nucleotídeo de pirimidina. Por conseguinte, esta enzima representa um local quimioterapêutico principal. A presente invenção refere-se ao uso da seq³ência codificando sintetase II de fosfato de carbamoíla na produção recombinante de sintetase II de fosfato de carbomoíla e para moléculas antisenso, rebozimas e outros agentes de inativação de gens concebidos a partir desta seq³ência.
