Abstract
POLÍMERO DE POLI(SULFETO DE ARILENO), COMPOSIÇÃO DE POLÍMERO, COMPONENTE AUTOMOTIVO OU COMPONENTE DE ÓLEO E GÁS, E, MÉTODO PARA FAZER O POLÍMERO DE POLI(SULFETO DE ARILENO). Trata-se de polímeros de poli(sulfeto de arileno) (PAS) (PASP) que incluem unidades recorrentes formadas de monômeros de di-halofluoreno selecionados. Surpreendentemente, em concentrações de monômero de di-halofluoreno relativamente baixas, os polímeros de PAS (PASP) aumentaram significativamente as temperaturas de transição vítrea (Tg) e desempenho de impacto com relação a homopolímeros de PAS análogos e polímeros de PAS (PASP), que incluem unidades recorrentes formadas a partir de 4,4?-dibromobifenila (DBBP). Simultaneamente, os polímeros de PAS (PASP) também retêm um alto módulo elástico. Adicionalmente, os polímeros de PAS (PASP) são livres de unidades recorrentes formadas dentre bifenis poli-halogenados (por exemplo, DBBP e bifenis policlorados) e, portanto, não são atualmente submetidos à regulação governamental restritiva. Devido, pelo menos em parte, às excelentes propriedades térmicas (Tg, Tc e Tm) e de impacto dos polímeros de PAS (PASP), os polímeros de PAS (PASP) e as composições de polímero de PAS podem ser incorporados, desejavelmente, em uma ampla variedade de artigos que incluem, mas sem se limitar a, artigos automotivos, artigos elétricos e eletrônicos, artigos aeroespaciais e artigos de óleo e gás.
