a presente invenção refere-se a um tabaco resistente a um vírus, que é fornecido de acordo com a presente invenção de modo que: (i) uma proteína de fator de início de tradução eif(iso)4e que não é funcional em relação a um vírus seja produzida ou (ii) a expressão de um gene do fator de início de tradução eif(iso)4e seja suprimida; e (a) uma proteína de fator de início de tradução eif4e2, que não é funcional em relação a um vírus, seja produzida ou (b) a expressão de um gene do fator de início de tradução eif4e2 seja suprimida.
