um processo para a destilação de uma mistura de aldeídos compreendendo um aldeído de cadeia linear e um aldeído de cadeia ramificada é descrito, em que o processo compreende: suprir uma alimentação compreendendo a mistura de aldeídos a um primeiro vaso de separação; operar dito primeiro vaso de separação a uma primeira temperatura e uma primeira pressão de maneira tal que separação ocorra; recuperar uma primeira corrente compreendendo o aldeído de cadeia linear de dito primeiro vaso de separação e suprir dita primeira corrente a um segundo vaso de separação; operar dito segundo vaso de separação a uma segunda temperatura e uma segunda pressão de maneira tal que separação ocorra; recuperar uma corrente de produto compreendendo o aldeído de cadeia linear e uma segunda corrente compreendendo componentes de alto ponto de ebulição provenientes de dito segundo vaso de separação, e suprir dita segunda corrente a um terceiro vaso de separação; operar dito terceiro vaso de separação a uma terceira temperatura e uma terceira pressão de maneira tal que separação ocorra; e recuperar uma terceira corrente compreendendo a mistura de aldeídos proveniente de dito terceiro vaso de separação e reintroduzir dita terceira corrente no primeiro vaso de separação.
