Abstract

o presente relatório refere-se à modulação na rota de sinalização de ras/camp/pka signaling para manter a eficiência de propagação e aumento da eficiência de fermentação de células de levedura. o presente relatório provê células de levedura apresentando ou que são engenheiradas para exibir uma modulação na sinalização em uma rota de ras/camp/pka, dependendo das condições. por exemplo, as células de levedura podem ser selecionadas ou geneticamente modificadas para expressar uma proteína ras1 mutada, uma proteína ras2 mutada, uma proteína ira1 mutada e/ou uma proteína ira2 mutada, opcionalmente em combinação com promotores específicos. são também providos métodos para a propagação de células de levedura, bem como a utilização de células de levedura para gerar um produto fermentado (tal como etanol).
