Abstract
A presente divulgação descreve processos biocatalíticos para produzir um produto que compreendem fornecer uma corrente aquosa (AS) que compreende pelo menos um substrato fermentável e uma corrente gasosa (GS) que compreende pelo menos um dentre CO2 /H2, H2, metano e/ou CO a uma zona de fermentação, em que as correntes GS e AS são opcionalmente colocadas em contato e/ou misturadas; em que a zona de fermentação compreende pelo menos um organismo que tem capacidade para metabolizar um substrato de AS e um substrato de GS, em que a fermentação opera em condições para metabolizar mixotroficamente pelo menos um substrato gasoso na GS e pelo menos um substrato na AS, produzindo o produto. A presente divulgação também descreve composições que compreendem uma AS, uma GS e um organismo, em que o organismo ou um equivalente ou equivalente geneticamente modificado do mesmo é um metanotrofo ou um organismo quimiolitotrófico de metabolização de hidrogênio ou metabolização de CO e em que o organismo tem capacidade para metabolismo mixotrófico de pelo menos um substrato gasoso na GS e pelo menos um substrato na AS. A presente divulgação também descreve um processo em que a referida fermentação opera em condições para metabolizar mixotroficamente pelo menos H2 na corrente gasosa e glicerol e ácido lático na corrente aquosa. A presente divulgação também descreve um sistema para produzir um produto de fermentação ou bioderivado.
