Abstract

a presente invenção se refere a um método de aperfeiçoamento da produção de biomassa e/ou da taxa de crescimento de um micro-organismo em um processo de fermentação, o dito método compreendendo as etapas de: (i) prover um ou mais micro-organismos; (ii) prover um substrato de fermentação adequado para fermentar o um ou mais micro-organismos; (iii) misturar o um ou mais micro-organismos e o substrato de fermentação, provendo um caldo de fermentação; (iv) adicionar o caldo de fermentação a um tanque de fermentação; (v) injetar pelo menos um substrato gasoso no caldo de fermentação; (vi) executar o processo de fermentação por um período de fermentação de pelo menos 1 hora; em que o pelo menos um substrato gasoso compreende um ou mais gases do efeito estufa, por exemplo, dióxido de carbono (co2).
