é descrita uma planta transformada com um ou mais genes originados de um plasmídeo ri de agrobacterium rhizogenes por infecção com a. rhizogenes compreendendo o plasmídeo ri, ou sendo progênie da referida planta, a referida planta ou progênie compreendendo, no genoma da mesma, de 1 a 5 cópias do referido um ou mais genes originados do plasmídeo ri. adicionalmente, o uso da referida planta ou progênie da mesma como plantas ornamentais, o uso como espécies de colheita de campo, para extratos de alimentos, cosméticos, perfumes ou como plantas medicinais é descrito. ainda, são descritos métodos para o preparo das referidas plantas. as referidas plantas mostram uma altura intermediária e / ou com um teor mais alto de metabólitos sem redução significativa do número de flores ou atraso no tempo de floração quando comparado às plantas controle na ausência de sequências de agrobacterium rhizogenes.
