Abstract

a presente invenção se relaciona a um processo para a preparação de fibras de poliolefina tendo diâmetros de fibra médios de menos do que 5000 nm, compreendendo as etapas de: a) preparar uma solução de poliolefina em um solvente, b) colocar referida solução de poliolefina em um dispositivo de produção de fibra compreendendo um corpo configurado para receber referida solução de poliolefina, referido corpo compreendendo uma ou mais aberturas, e c) girar o dispositivo de produção de fibra, no qual a rotação do dispositivo de produção de fibra faz com que a solução de poliolefina seja passada através de referida uma ou mais aberturas, para produzir fibras de poliolefina tendo diâmetros de fibra médios de menos do que 5000 nm, no qual referida poliolefina é selecionada a partir do grupo compreendendo polímeros e copolímeros de polietileno tendo um peso molecular médio de peso mw de pelo menos 40 000 daltons, e polímeros e copolímeros de polipropileno, tendo um peso molecular médio de peso mw de pelo menos 120 000 daltons; no qual referido dispositivo de produção de fibra é girado à uma velocidade de pelo menos 10 000 revoluções por minutos (rpm). a invenção também se relaciona às fibras de poliolefina, e à artigos compreendendo referidas fibras.
