Abstract

a presente invenção refere-se a um anticorpo isolado ou um fragmento de ligação a antígeno do mesmo tendo uma afinidade de ligação específica a um epí-topo localizado dentro do domínio 1 ou domínio 3 do receptor de fator de crescimen-to endotelial vascular 2 humano (vegfr2; seq id no: 74). o epítopo dentro do domínio 3 do vegfr2 é localizado entre os resíduos de amino ácido 250 e 270 de seq id no: 74. o uso do anticorpo ou fragmento de ligação a antígeno do mesmo na fabricação de um medicamento para inibir o desenvolvimento de tumor, a angio-gênese do tumor, e/ou para induzir a citotoxicidade das células de câncer em um indivíduo em necessidade do mesmo é também descrito. também é descrito um mé-todo de detectar a presença de vegfr2 em uma célula endotelial de tumor vascu-lar ou uma célula de câncer em uma amostra biológica.
