Abstract
a presente invenção está na área de enzimas para degradação e/ou modificação de (hemi)celulose, mais particularmente para a degradação e/ou modificação de xilano. a invenção é baseada em uma atividade enzimática recentemente constatada de uma classe de mono-oxigenases de polissacarídeo líticas (lpmos), isto é, clivagem oxidativa de xilano adicionalmente à clivagem oxidativa de celulose. a presente invenção, portanto, se refere a um método para degradar e/ou modificar xilano em um substrato que compreende xilano, um método para preparar um produto a partir de um substrato que compreende xilano, um kit de partes, uma formulação líquida, em pasta ou sólida e uma composição que compreende xilano, que compreende a dita lpmo. a invenção se refere adicionalmente a um uso da dita lpmo, do dito kit de partes, da dita formulação e/ou da dita composição, em um método da invenção.
