Abstract

a presente invenção se refere a um processo e a uma planta para a síntese de amônia a partir de uma matéria-prima de hidrocarboneto, compreendendo: - uma etapa de reforma primária de referida matéria-prima de hidrocarboneto com vapor obtendo um primeiro gás reformado; - uma etapa de reforma secundária de ar extinguido de referido primeiro gás reformado, obtendo um produto de gás bruto; - purificação de referido produto de gás bruto obtendo um gás de síntese de produção; e: - conversão de referido gás de síntese de produção em amônia em um circuito (loop) de síntese. em concordância com a presente invenção referida reforma primária é desempenhada em uma temperatura de pelo menos 790 0c e em uma pressão de pelo menos 50 bar; e referida etapa de reforma secundária é realizada substancialmente em ausência de excesso de ar relativamente para a quantidade estequiométrica; e referido gás de síntese de produção possui uma razão molar de h2 para n2 na faixa de 2,5 até 3.
