Abstract

COMPOSIÇÕES E MÉTODOS PARA DIAGNÓSTICO E MONITORAÇÃO DE HIPERTIREOIDISMO EM UM FELINO. A presente invenção fornece um método de diagnóstico da existência ou do risco de hipertireoidismo em um felino compreendendo determinação do nível de expressão de um ou mais biomarcadores selecionados do grupo que consiste em, por exemplo, IYD, TG, SLC5A5, NIS, TPO, TSHR, DUOX1, DUOX2 (ThOX), TGFB1, CSTD, DCN E SEPP1, e da expressão de seus produtos, em uma amostra biológica do felino, em que a expressão elevada de um ou mais biomarcadores na amostra em relação a um valor controle para expressão em uma amostra de um felino normal ou de uma população felina, ou a um valor basal do felino, indica a existência ou o risco de hipertireoidismo; um método de tratamento de um felino assim diagnosticado; e composições, reagentes e kits para realização dos métodos especificados.
