processo para a preparação de hidroquinonas. a presente invenção refere-se a um processo para a preparação de um composto de hidroquinona de fórmula (i), em que r2, r3, r5 e r6 possuem o significado de acordo com a reivindicação 1, com as etapas de formilação de um fenol substituído e oxidação de 4-hidróxi-benzaldeído substituído resultante sob condições acídicas para a hidroquinona correspondente de fórmula (i). outro objetivo da invenção refere-se ao 2,3,5-trimetil-4-hidróxi-benzaldeído intermediário para a síntese de 2,3,5-trimetil-hidroquinona (tmhq) e (dl) cc-tocoferol.
