Abstract

"MONITORAMENTO DE ABSORVEDORES DE CHOQUE". Esta invenção se refere a um método para determinar o fator de amortecimento de um absorvedor de choque que inclui fixar um acelerómetro em uma de uma primeira e uma segunda parte do absorvedor de choque. A primeira e a segunda partes são deslocadas uma em relação a outra pelo menos uma vez e a aceleração das partes uma em relação a outra é medida através da leitura de um sinal do acelerómetro. O fator de amortecimento é então determinado pela análise da aceleração medida. Um sistema de monitoramento de absorvedor de choque para uso no método inclui um acelerómetro para geração de um sinal de aceleração. Um processador está conectado ao acelerómetro e lê o sinal de aceleração a partir do acelerómetro para assim calcular um fator de amortecimento do absorvedor de choque quando a primeira e segunda partes do absorvedor de choque são deslocadas uma em relação a outra. Um indicador, em resposta ao processador, mostra um valor representativo do fator de amortecimento do absorvedor de choque.
