Abstract

"MéTODO E APARELHO PARA UMA ESPECIFICAçãO DE SINCRONISMO INTERIMAGEM DE ACURáCIA VARIáVEL PARA CODIFICAçãO DE VìDEO DIGITAL". A presente invenção refere-se a um método e um aparelho para uma especificação de sincronismo de interimagem de acurácia variável para codificação de vídeo digital que são mostrados. Especificamente, a presente invenção mostra um sistema que permite um sincronismo relativo de imagens de vídeo próximas a serem codificadas de uma maneira muito eficiente. Em uma modalidade, a diferença de tempo de exibição entre uma imagem de vídeo atual (105) e uma imagem de vídeo próxima é determinada. A diferença de tempo de exibição então é codificada (180) em uma representação digital da imagem de vídeo. Em uma modalidade preferida, a imagem de vídeo próxima é a imagem armazenada mais recentemente transmitida. Para uma eficiência de codificação, a diferença de tempo de exibição pode ser codificada usando-se um sistema de codificação de comprimento variável ou uma codificação aritmética. Em uma modalidade alternativa, a diferença de tempo de exibição é codificada como uma potência de dois para redução do número de bits transmitidos.
