Abstract
"ESTRUTURA PARA DEDOS CATóDICOS DE CéLULAS CLORO-ALCALINAS DE DIAFRAGMA". A presente invenção refere-se a uma estrutura de dedos catódicos para célula cloro-alcalina de diafragma com melhorada tensão e eficiência farádica, caracterizada pelo fato de que uma lâmina dotada com projeções é inserida dentro de cada dedo. A rede de fios entrelaçados ou a lâmina perfurada, formando cada dedo, é fixada por uma conexão condutora, preferivelmente por soldagem, no ápice de cada projeção, fornecendo desse modo uma uniformidade ótima de distribuição da corrente elétrica. As projeções tem uma forma preferivelmente equivalente a tampões esféricos, dispostos em um desenho quincuncial. O volume interno de cada dedo é subdividido pela lâmina dotada com projeções em duas porções onde se realiza seja o livre movimento ascendente das bolhas de hidrogênio seja o livre movimento longitudinal do hidrogênio separado em direção à câmara perimétrica da célula. No volume interno de cada dedo, o qual é somente parcialmente ocupado pelas projeções, ocorre também a recirculação natural da solução constituída pela soda cáustica produzida e do cloreto de sódio resíduo, suportados pelas bolhas de hidrogênio.
