Abstract
"PREPARAçãO TERAPêUTICA NA FORMA DE Pó SECO". A presente invenção divulga uma preparação terapêutica na forma de pó seco e um método de administração de tal preparação, para efetivamente desagregar e dispersar no ar uma dose de pó de medicamento em uma administração de uma dose a um usuário. A presente preparação de pó seco e respectivo método não requerem outras fontes de energia, além da energia de um esforço de inalação realizado por um usuário para produzir um grau bastante alto de desagregação e eficiente dispersão no ar da dose de medicamento de pó seco. Utilizando um esforço de sucção de ar através de um bocal, as partículas da dose de pó terapêutico tornadas disponíveis para o bocal são gradualmente desagregadas e dispersas numa corrente de ar que entra no bocal. A gradual desagregação e dispersão e produzida por um efeito de arraste, devido a um movimento relativo introduzido entre o bocal e a dose de pó. O bocal é geralmente posicionado externamente à área de pó e não entra em contato com o pó até que a corrente de ar dentro do bocal, criada pela sucção, tenha passado uma velocidade de fluxo limite. Coincidentemente com a aplicação da sucção, o movimento relativo irá começar de modo que o bocal cruze a dose de pó gradualmente. Esforços de cisalhamento e inércia da corrente de ar aplicada são tão poderosos que partículas nos agregados de partículas da dose de pó adjacente à admissão do bocal em movimento são liberadas e desagregadas em alto grau, assim como dispersas e subseq³entemente arrastadas na corrente de ar criada, que se dirigia através do bocal para o usuário da inalação.
