Abstract

"TéCNICA PARA GERENCIAR NìVEIS DE QUALIDADE DE SERVIçOS QUANDO INTERTRABALHANDO UMA REDE DE áREA LOCAL SEM FIO COM UMA REDE DE TELEFONIA SEM FIO". Uma rede de comunicações (10) vantajosamente proporciona serviço de telefonia sem fio para um usuário de terminal móvel (16) de um de um primeiro mecanismo de acesso por rádio (18,20) de uma rede de telefonia sem fio (12) e um segundo mecanismo de acesso por rádio (30,32) de uma Rede de área Local sem fio (14). O primeiro mecanismo de acesso por rádio proporciona serviço em um primeiro nível de qualidade de serviço (QoS) especificado em um contexto de Protocolo de Dados de Pacotes (PDP) primário com o usuário do terminal móvel durante o que o usuário do terminal móvel é munido com um endereço para comunicação de dados. Quando o usuário do terminal móvel muda do primeiro nó de acesso para o segundo nó de acesso, o usuário recebe serviço de acordo com um contexto de PDP secundário ativado pelo usuário do terminal móvel. O contexto de PDP secundário especifica o mesmo endereço de dados como o contexto de PDP primário, mas um nível de QoS diferente.
