Abstract
"PROCESSO PARA REALIZAR A REFORMA DE VAPOR/METANO PARA GERAR MONóXIDO DE CARBONO E HIDROGêNIO, E, PLANTA". Metano é reagido com vapor para gerar monóxido de carbono e hidrogênio em um primeiro reator catalítico, a mistura de gás resultante podendo ser então usada para realizar a síntese de Fisher-Tropsch em um segundo reator catalítico. Ao realizar a reforma de vapor/metano, a mistura de gás é passada através de um canal de fluxo estreito contendo uma estrutura de catalisador em um substrato de metal; e adjacente a uma fonte de calor, em um tempo menor do que 0,5 s, de modo que somente irão ocorrer estas reações que tem uma cinética comparativamente rápida. Tanto a temperatura média como a temperatura de saída do canal estão na faixa de 750<198> a 900<198>C. A relação de vapor para metano deve ser preferivelmente de 1,4 a 1,6, por exemplo cerca de 1,5. Quase todo o metano irá sofrer a reação de reforma, formando quase que completamente monóxido de carbono. Após reformar a síntese de Fischer-Tropsch, o hidrogênio restante é preferivelmente usado para fornecer calor para a reação de reforma.
