Abstract

"PROCESSO PARA FABRICAçãO DE CHAPA DE POLIPROPILENO". Processo para produção de um artigo monolítico de uma rede de fibras de polímero de polipropileno orientado, compreendendo as etapas de submeter a rede às temperaturas elevadas e pressão suficiente para fundir uma proporção do polímero e compactá-lo e então resfriar a rede compactada, onde uma taxa acelerada de resfriamento e empregada até atingir a temperatura de 100<198>C. O processo é de particular utilidade quando o peso molecular médio (Mw) das fibras é de 250.000 ou menor. Os artigos resultantes apresentam boa resistência e rigidez ainda com maleabilidade razoável. Artigos similares resfriados lentamente são quebradiços.
