Abstract

"APARELHO E MéTODO PARA ASSENTAMENTO DE PASTAS FLUIDAS MINERAIS". A invenção refere-se a um tanque de decantação para decantar pastas fluidas minerais e um método do mesmo. O tanque de decantação (10) compreende um tanque (11) para comportar e decantar um corpo (15 & 16) de pasta fluida para formar uma pasta fluida espessa como uma camada inferior (15) e um líquido clarificado como uma camada superior (16), o tanque que possui uma parede lateral (34), um fundo (36) e um topo (14), uma saída (18) para pasta fluida espessa no fundo do tanque, uma saída (19) para a camada de líquido clarificado próxima ao topo (14) do tanque, um meio de entrada de pasta fluida (12) próximo ao topo do tanque para introduzir pasta fluida fresca dentro do tanque, o meio de entrada de pasta fluida que possui uma abertura de pasta fluida através da qual a pasta fluida fresca se junta ao corpo de pasta fluida no tanque e um agitador mecânico (20) que possuí um eixo geométrico geralmente vertical (30) em torno do qual o agitador mecânico gira ou se alterna. A abertura de pasta fluida (12C) é lateralmente deslocada com relação ao dito eixo geométrico geralmente vertical (30) do agitador mecânico (20) e o meio de entrada de pasta fluida é configurado para permitir que a pasta fluida fresca entre no corpo de pasta fluida sem acumular sólidos a partir da pasta fluida fresca na abertura de pasta fluida.
