Abstract

"IMPLANTE OSMóTICO COM MEMBRANA E RECURSO DE RETENçãO DA MEMBRANA". Um sistema de liberação osmótico para a liberação controlada de um agente benéfico inclui uma cápsula que pode ser implantada contendo um agente benéfico e um mecanismo osmótico que dilata no contato com água, para dessa maneira causar a liberação do agente benéfico com o tempo. O sistema de liberação osmótico tem um material de membrana que permite que uma quantidade controlada de fluido entre do exterior da cápsula, enquanto evitando que as composições dentro da cápsula saiam da cápsula. O sistema de liberação osmótico é projetado para alcançar pelo menos as pressões de operação de 6875 Kpa (1000 psi), o material da membrana é fundido, calandrado ou extrudado seguido pela usinagem (isto é, corte em matriz, estampagem ou de outra maneira corte na forma) para produzir um material de membrana uniforme sem nervuras. A cápsula também inclui um recurso de retenção do material de membrana que é posicionado em uma extremidade de absorção do fluido para manter o material da membrana dentro da cápsula, mesmo sob períodos de alta pressão.
