Abstract

"USO DE PROTEìNA E AMINOáCIDOS ESSENCIAIS PARA TRATAR AMENORRéIA E DISTúRBIOS AFINS". A presente invenção refere-se a desnutrição que leva a um decréscimo no peso corporal interfere com a secreção de estrogênio em mulheres, causando efeitos deletérios sobre a densidade óssea e sobre o ciclo menstrual. A invenção baseia-se na descoberta de que é possível reverter estes efeitos metabólicos da desnutrição reforçando a ingestão de proteína, como proteína integral ou como uma mistura de aminoácidos essenciais. A proteína pode ser administrada na forma de um suplemento dietético, como um produto alimentício, ou como um componente de uma farinha completa.
