Abstract
"EMBREAGEM DE TRANSMISSãO DE POTêNCIA MODULáVEL, TRANSMISSãO MARìTIMA PARA CONTROLE DE VELOCIDADE VARIáVEL DE UM BARCO, E, TRANSMISSãO DE POTêNCIA". Uma embreagem de transmissão de potência modulável incluindo placas de embreagem intercaladas, sobre o invólucro (10) e sobre a engrenagem (12), e possuindo um eixo de transmissão de potência central (11) estendendo-se axialmente através da embreagem. A embreagem inclui um pistão móvel operado por fluido (17) para efetuar operação da embreagem pela compressão das placas. O pistão possui uma área de pistão menor (20) uma área de pistão maior (24), a área de pistão menor possui fluxo de fluido direcionado a ela, uma pressão de fluido variável por meio da qual a embreagem é modulável. A área de pistão maior é adaptada para ter fluxo de fluido direcionado a ela para efetuar acoplamento máximo e não modulável da embreagem. Uma válvula de disparo normalmente fechada carregada por mola (35) controla o fluxo de fluido para a área de pistão maior em resposta a pressão de fluido acima de uma quantidade predeterminada, na área de pistão menor. A válvula de disparo é montada no eixo e normalmente está fechada, de tal modo que o fluido de pressão é direcionado para a área de pistão menor a uma pressão de fluido variável, por meio da qual a embreagem é modulável. Quando a válvula é aberta pela citada pressão de fluido além de uma quantidade predeterminada, a válvula permite que o fluido flua para a área de pistão maior, para efetuar acoplamento máximo e não modulável da embreagem, para capacidade plena da embreagem.
