Abstract

"BARREIRA DE DIFUSãO PARA HIDROGêNIO EM AçO USANDO PROCESSO DE NITRETAçãO IÈNICA POR PLASMA PULSADO". A presente invenção refere-se a um processo de nitretação iónica por plasma pulsado visando a formação de barreira de difusão para o hidrogênio em aços, aqui exemplificado para o aço API 5L X-65, um aço de alta resistência mecânica e baixa liga. A nitretação iónica por plasma pulsado consistiu em guiar íons e espécies ativas de nitrogênio atómico e molecular até a superfície do material pela aplicação de uma diferença de potencial entre dois eletrodos, interrompida periodicamente com uma frequência pré-determinada, onde o catodo é o próprio material (ou peça) a ser tratado, em uma câmara previamente evacuada na qual o gás nitrogênio au uma mistura gasosa contendo este gás é introduzida.
