Abstract

"PROCESSO PARA REJUVENESCIMENTO DE UM REVESTIMENTO ALUMINìDIO DE DIFUSãO". A presente invenção refere-se a um processo de rejuvenescimento de um revestimento aluminídio de difusão (20) em um componente (10). O processo de rejuvenescimento envolve tratar o revestimento (20) com uma solução aquosa de ácido nítrico e ácido fosfórico até que pelo menos parte da camada aditiva (22) do revestimento (20) tenha sido removida, mas a zona de difusão (24) sob a camada aditiva (22) permaneça. A superfície exposta do componente (10) é então realuminizada para depositar o alumínio adicional para formar a camada aditiva (22) com uma espessura desejada. O processo é particularmente aplicável a um revestimento aluminídio de difusão (20) que tenha sido depositado em um componente (10) para ter uma camada aditiva excessivamente espessa (22) e antes do componente (10) ser retomado ao serviço.
