Abstract
"DIAGNóSTICO ON-LINE DE HARDWARE E SOFTWARE DE COMPUTADOR". São fornecidos um método e um aparato para o diagnóstico on-line e reparo do hardware e do software do computador; de acordo com um método da presente invenção, é feito o download de um aplicativo do cliente e de scripts de programas executáveis para um computador a ser diagnosticado; o aplicativo do cliente executa os scripts e retorna as informações obtidas como resultado da execução dos referidos scripts para um servidor; o servidor então aplica uma análise baseada em regras à informações retornadas e fornece uma disposição para o coMputador a ser diagnosticado; a disposição pode incluir informações referentes a uma solução potencial para o problema ou problemas detectados, ou pode incluir provisões para efetuar automaticamente uma correção; de acordo com uma configuração, a operação do aplicativo do cliente é coordenada com as informações comunicadas utilizando um navegador através da pesquisa de um campo fornecido em um banco de dados mantido no servidor; de acordo com uma outra configuração, um computador cliente é direcionado para a localização universal de recursos (URL - universal resource location) na qual as informações ou um arquivo necessário para efetuar um reparo pode ser encontrado.
