Abstract

"PROCESSO PARA A ALQUILAçãO DE AROMáTICOS". A presente invenção refere-se a um processo para a alquilação de aromáticos é provido que compreende contatar uma alimentação contendo aromáticos com agente alquilante na presença de um catalisador de zeólito ZSM-5 ligado à sílica, em que ZSM-5 tem um tamanho de cristal não maior que 0,05 mícron, referido contato sendo conduzido sob condições alquilantes para prover um produto contendo uma fração aromática monoalquilada e uma fração aromática polialquilada, em que a fração aromática polialquilada contém, pelo menos, 40% em peso da espécie para-dialquila aromática. A fração aromática polialquilada pode ser contatada com aromático não-substituído e um catalisador de transalquilação sob condições de transalquilação para prover uma corrente rica em aromáticos monoalquilados, por exemplo, uma corrente rica em etilbenzeno.
