Abstract
"MéTODO PARA PERMITIR INTEROPERABILIDADE MULTI-USUáRIO ORTOGONAL E NãO-ORTOGONAL DE CANAIS DE CóDIGO". Técnica para permitir que um primeiro grupo e um segundo grupo de usuários compartilhem acesso a um canal de comunicação, tal como um canal de rádio. Um primeiro grupo de usuários se trata tipicamente de um grupo de herança de usuários como aqueles que usam equipamento de telefone celular CDMA. O segundo grupo de usuário se trata de um grupo de usuários de dados que codificam suas transmissões em diferentes formatos otimizados para funcionalidade de dados. O primeiro grupo de usuários compartilham uma estrutura de modulação como, em um link reverso, usando deslocamentos únicos de fase de código de ruído pseudo-randómico comum (PN). O segundo grupo de usuário compartilha uma outra estrutura de modulação mas em uma maneira consistente e compatível com os usuários do primeiro grupo. Especificamente, os usuários do segundo grupo podem todos usar o mesmo código PN e deslocamento de fase de código. No entanto, são unicamente identificados designando, por exemplo, cada um deles com um único código ortogonal.
