Abstract
"BIOSSENSOR E SENSOR DE DEPóSITO PARA MONITORAçãO DE BIOFILMES E OUTROS DEPóSITOS". A presente invenção refere-se a um método e um aparelho para determinar a deposição de contaminantes orgânicos e inorgânicos, tais como biofilmes, sobre um corpo de prova são divulgados. O método e o aparelho incluem um corpo de prova suspenso de um sensor de peso dentro de um tanque de reservatório. O tanque de reservatório inclui dispositivo de entrada de fluido para recebimento de uma amostra de fluido que circula através da superfície do corpo de prova por um período de tempo predeterminado para permitir que os contaminantes presentes na amostra de fluido se depositem sobre a superfície do corpo de prova. Em intervalos regulares, o tanque de reservatório é drenado e o corpo de prova é permitido secar e é pesado. O peso dos contaminantes que foram depositados sobre a superfície do corpo de prova é determinado pela comparação do peso do corpo de prova com seu peso anterior. Dessa maneira, um sistema de computador anexado ao sensor de peso pode analisar uma série de pesos e apresentar os resultados em um gráfico de depósito - tempo.
