Abstract

"PROCESSO PARA A PRODUçãO DE óXIDO DE PROPILENO". A invenção refere-se a um processo para a produção de óxido de propileno, que compreende as etapas descritas abaixo, em que a concentração de hidroperóxido de isopropilbenzeno em uma solução contendo álcool cumílico é de 5% em peso ou menos quando do término da etapa de epoxidação: etapa de oxidação; uma etapa em que o isopropilbenzeno é oxidado para obter hidroperóxido de isopropilbenzeno, etapa de epoxidação; uma etapa em que o hidroperóxido de isopropilbenzeno obtido na etapa de oxidação é posto a reagir com propileno para obter óxido de propileno e álcool cumílico, e etapa de hidrogenólise; uma etapa em que o álcool cumílico obtido na etapa de epoxidação é submetido à hidrogenólise para obter isopropilbenzeno, e o dito isopropilbenzeno ser recirculado para a etapa de oxidação como uma matéria-prima para a etapa de oxidação.
