"DISPOSITIVO E MéTODO DE COMUNICAçãO SERIAL". Um dispositivo de comunicação serial para fazer ponte entre um barramento paralelo 1 e um barramento serial 5 incluindo: (a) um produtor de bit de verificação (3) que aplica um código de correção de erro a dados paralelos transmitidos através do barramento paralelo (1); (b) um conversor paralelo-serial (4) que converte os dados paralelos, fornecidos a partir do produtor de bit de verificação 3, em dados seriais; (c) um conversor serial-paralelo (6) que converte dados seriais, transmitidos através dos barramentos seriais (5), em dados paralelos; e (d) um detector de erro (7) que verif ica um código de correção de erro aplicado aos dados seriais, e detecta um erro no código de correção de erro.
