Abstract
"COMPOSIçõES E MéTODOS PARA REAçõES DE HALOGENAçãO". Esta invenção descreve métodos, plantas transgênicas e microorganismos transgênicos para a biossíntese de produtos naturais halogenados, onde a halogenação é substrata e regioespecífica. Em particular, esta invenção refere-se ao uso de metabólitos halogenados, produzidos através do método da invenção, para a proteção de organismos hospedeiros contra patógenos, mais particularmente, à proteção de plantas contra fitopatógenos. Neste aspecto, a invenção provê plantas transgênicas com maior resistência a fitopatógenos e organismos de biocontrole com propriedades de biocontrole maiores.
