Um pneumático de alto e médio desempenho para veículos compreende uma banda de rodagem fornecida com uma zona central de largura predeterminada, nas bordas da qual duas zonas intermediárias e duas zonas de ressalto se estendem. Cada zona intermediária compreende duas seq³ências de pares de sulcos transversais, primeira e segunda respectivamente, alternando em sucessão pelo comprimento circunferencial do pneumático; cada par é feito de dois sulcos, pelo menos parcialmente paralelos. Os pares de sulcos da primeira seq³ência começam na zona de ressalto e terminam dentro da zona intermediária e os pares de sulcos da segunda seq³ência começam nas bordas da zona central e terminam dentro da zona intermediária a uma distância predeterminada do sulco mais longo dos pares da primeira seq³ência.
