Las ranuras circunferenciales tienen una seccion transversal recta en forma de V con el v értice redondeado dirigidoradialmente hacia adentro, con un ancho mayor que, y una profundidad menor que, la de las escotaduras transversales que tienen una seccion transversal recta enforma de U; preferentemente las dos secciones transversales recta s tienen la misma área de superficie.
