Abstract

"PROCESSO E DISPOSITIVO PARA A OTIMIZAçãO DE UM SINAL DE TRANSMISSãO óTICO MODULADO COM UM SINAL DE DADOS BINáRIO". Um dispositivo de sintonização providencia a sintonização otimizada do ponto de operação (U~ BIAS~) e do sinal de modulação (U~ DAT~) de um modulador Mach-Zehnder (4). Para tal são selecionadas a onda fundamental e/ou a primeira onda harmónica do sinal de transmissão (OSM). Uma sintonização otimizada é alcançada quando a amplitude da onda fundamental alcançou um valor máximo, e a amplitude da onda harmónica, um valor mínimo.
