Abstract

"UTILIZAçãO DE BACTéRIAS PROPIÈNICAS PARA A PRODUçãO DE áCIDO PROPIÈNICO E/OU DE PROPIONATOS NO CóLON". Utilização de bactérias propiónicas selecionadas, em função do próprio caráter pouco autolítico e sua aptidão para resistir aos sais biliares para a obtenção de uma composição de alimentação comum ou de uma composição dietética ou medicamentosa absorvível pelo homem ou pelo animal, elaborada para que as bactérias sejam protegidas pelo menos parcialmente face à acidez gástrica, contendo pelo menos 10^ 6^ células/grama dessas bactérias, capaz de estimular e aumentar de forma significativa a síntese de ácido propiónico e/ou de propionato e, se for o caso, de ácido acético e/ou de acetato ao nível do cólon por fermentação bacteriana anaeróbica.
