Abstract

"PROCESSOS PARA A PRODUçãO DE MATERIAIS DE PAPEL COM RESISTêNCIA A úMIDO MELHORADA, E PARA A PRODUçãO DE PAPELãO CORRUGADO OU RECIPIENTES CORRUGADOS". A presente invenção refere-se a um processo para a produção de materiais de papel com resistência a úmido melhorada, compreendendo: (a) preparar uma suspensão de polpa química ou semiquímica não branqueada ou semibranqueada ou polpa de fibras recicladas; (b) tratar a polpa com uma enzima oxidante de fenol e um mediador; e (c) remover água da polpa tratada numa maquina de fabricação de papel para remover a água de processo e produzir o material de papel. Preferencialmente, o material de papel é aquecido após o término da etapa (c). Além disso, a invenção refere-se a um processo para a produção de papelão corrugado ou recipientes corrugados e ao uso de uma enzima oxidante de fenol em combinação com um mediador para produzir um material de papel com resistência a úmido melhorada. Pelo processo da invenção, a resistência a úmido de materiais de papel pode ser melhorada sem o uso de resinas de resistência a úmido, o que torna o produto mais facilmente reutilizado.
