Abstract

Patente de Invenção para "VIDROS INORGâNICOS INCOLORES COM UM CORTE DE ABSORçãO óTICO AGUçADO ENTRE 370 E 425 nm; PRODUTOS DE REFERIDOS VIDROS". O objetivo da presente invenção é vidros inorgânicos incolores, bem como produtos manufaturados de referidos vidros. Referidos vidros são do tipo contendo haletos de cobre ou haletos de cobre cádmio, e tendo um corte de absorção ótico aguçado entre 370 nm e 425 nm; essencialmente tendo a composição abaixo, expressa em percentagens catiónicas: 23 -73% de SiO~ 2~; 15 - 45% de B~ 2~O~ 3~; 0 - 24% de Al~ 2~O~ 3~; 0 - 12% de Li~ 2~O; 0 - 20% de Na~ 2~O; 0 - 12% de K~ 2~O; 0,25 - 5% de CaO + BaO + SrO; 0,125 - 1% de CU~ 2~O; 0 - 1% de CdO; 0 -5% de ZrO~ 2~; com (I) 0,25 - 2% Cl + Br; e 0 - 2% de F; os teores de Cl, Br e F sendo expressos em percentagens por peso da composição total; o teor de peso de bromo sendo maior do que o teor de peso de cloro (Br > Cl); com uma quantidade adequada de agente(s) de redução que é (são) vantajosamente selecionado(s) de SnO~ 2~, AS~ 2~O~ 3~, Sb~ 2~O~ 3~, e misturas destes, de modo a ter principalmente, nos referidos vidros, o cobre na forma de íons cuprosos (Cu^ +^), e, portanto, vidros que não tem nem uma coloração vermelha, nem uma coloração verde; e a coloração amarela residual da qual é minimizada.
