Abstract

"PROCESSOS PARA ESTABELECER UMA ESPECIFICAçãOPADRãO PARA UM MATERIAL DE PLANTA MEDICINAL, PARAFORNECER UMA AMOSTRA DE UM MATERIAL DE PLANTAMEDICINAL, E PARA FORNECER UMA ESPECIFICAçãOPADRãO PARA UM MATERIAL DE PLANTA MEDICINAL". Umprocesso para estabelecer uma especificação padrão para ummaterial de planta medicinal compreende: (i) preparar uma soluçãopara teste ou extrato para teste de uma amostra de material deplanta medicinal que é considerado como possuidor das ou decada propriedade requerida para o padrão; (ii) submeter a referidasolução ou extrato a dois ou mais métodos analíticos incluindo (a)uma combinação de espectroscopia de RMN com técnica dereconhecimento de padrão computadorizado, e (b) uma ou maistécnicas de obtenção de perfil biológico; (iii) obter resultados apartir dos métodos analíticos utilizados na etapa (ii); e (iv)estabelecer uma especificação padrão para o referido material deplanta com base nos resultados obtidos na etapa (iii). Amostrascandidatas do material de planta medicinal podemsubsequentemente ser testadas quanto a sua concordância com opadrão. Elas podem ser aceitas ou rejeitadas dependendo se elasfornecem resultados analíticos que ficam dentro ou fora de parteou de toda a especificação estabelecida na etapa (iv). Estaabordagem de padronização e controle de qualidade éparticularmente aplicável a misturas de materiais de plantasmedicinais.
