A carbonização do tecido em fibras celulósicas compreende uma fase inicial de tratamento térmico até 250<198>C a 350<198>C, com uma velocidade média de elevação de temperatura relativamente elevada de 10<198>C/min a 60<198>C/min, uma fase intermediária até 350 a 500<198>C com uma velocidade média de elevação de temperatura menor de 2<198>C/min a 10<198> C/min e uma fase final até 500<198>C a 750<198>C com uma velocidade média de elevação de temperatura novamente mais elevada de 5<198>C/min a 40<198>C/min.
