Mecanismo de pedal de freio (4) para veículos com um apoio de pedal (5), fixado na carroçaria do veículo, que recebe um apoio (18) para o eixo oscilante (17) de um pedal de acionamento (6), suportado de maneira giratória e dotado de uma superfície de estribo (9). O pedal de acionamento (6) é acoplado um elemento de acionamento (7) para um servofreio (1) com um cilindro de freio principal (2). O eixo oscilante (17) suportado no apoio de pedal (5) é disposto no pedal de acionamento (6) entre a superfície de estribo (9) e o ponto de acoplamento (8) do elemento de acionamento (7).
