Abstract
"SISTEMA DE TRANSMISSãO CONVERSìVEL E MéTODO PARA OPERAR UMA TRANSMISSãO TENDO UMA PLURALIDADE DE RELAçõES DE MARCHA DISPONìVEIS". Um sistema de transmissão conversível (20) para um veículo compreendendo uma transmissão (26) tendo um eixo de entrada (24) para conexão a um motor e um eixo de saída (30) para fornecer potência rotacional a pelo menos um eixo. A transmissão (26) tem uma pluralidade de relações de marcha disponíveis resultando em um número máximo de relações de marcha disponíveis. Em adição, um controlador programável (32) é provido para seletivamente controlar a transmissão (26) para operar em uma primeira configuração operacional utilizando um primeiro número predeterminado de relações de marcha disponíveis que é menor que o número máximo de relações de marcha disponíveis. Além disso, o controle programável (32) pode ter configurações de transmissão adicionais seletivamente modificando certas características operacionais, incluindo por exemplo, relações de marcha disponíveis, relações de marcha operacionais desejadas, limites de torque máximo, pontos de troca de marcha, relações de marcha de partida padrão, dados relacionados a estratégia de troca de marcha predeterminada, uma relação de marcha de cruzeiro, sincronismo de retardo de troca de marcha, e/ou troca de marcha de salto.
