Abstract
The engine is used in the motor-car industry, for themanufacture of tractors, locomotives, in shipbuilding, etc. It ismulti-cylinder type, has lightweight and elongated design whichincludes two coaxial cylinder blocks on which a common crankshaftis resting. A disk (7) is resting on the shaft (2) at an anglewith a revolving connection which is connected to the pistons ofthe two blocks by means of connecting rods or piston rods withkinematic connection amd slides to the cylinder blocks. To disk(7) and cylinder block (1) one gear rim (9 & 10) each are mountedwhich are intermeshed. Cylinder heads (11) for a two-stroke orfour-stroke mode of operation are mounted to the cylinder blocks(1) or instead moving pistons (15) analogically connected by disksto the common crankshaft are fitted in opposite position inelongated cylinder blocks.5 claims, 5 figures
