Abstract

La chambre (10) comprend, disposées à deux extrémités opposées de la chambre, une entrée (12) de mélange air-carburant et une sortie (14) de gaz. Vue en coupe transversale, la chambre (10) présente une forme non circulaire, due à la présence d'une pluralité de chambres latérales (18). Une plaque transversale (16) divise la chambre (10) en deux compartiments. Le mélange d'air et de carburant qui pénètre dans le premier compartiment (26) est dévié par ladite plaque dans les chambres latérales (18) s'enflamme et passe ensuite, par l'intermédiaire des chambres latérales (18) dans le deuxième compartiment (28) qui communique avec la sortie (14).
