Abstract
Le procédé consiste à compter en coincidence (5) les neutrons pour mesurer l'émission inhérente de neutrons due à la fission spontanée des isotopes de masse paire du plutonium, à mesurer les neutrons supplémentaires dus aux fissions induites dans les isotopes fissiles de masse impaire par la présence d'une source extérieure (4) et à utiliser un facteur de conversion déduit du rapport de ces mesures pour convertir l'une ou l'autre d'entre elles en la concentration totale en plutonium.
