<EMI ID=1.1>
<EMI ID=2.1>
IMPROVEMENTS TO A HOME
IMPROVEMENTS TO A HOME.
The present invention aims to provide a device intended to recover part of the calories supplied by a home for distribution for other purposes, in particular in radiators arranged in other places or for hot water for sanitary use.
Several outbreaks are known, including
wood fireplaces, of relatively small dimensions, which can be arranged in an apartment for example. However, these fireplaces have the drawback of radiating too intense and excessive heat at the place where said fire is located.
In order to make these stoves even more economical while avoiding the aforementioned drawback, the present invention provides a device intended to recover at least part of the calories supplied by a hearth, characterized in that
that it consists of an independent tank conforming at least approximately to the shape of said hearth by covering it at least partially, said tank comprising on either side of the hearth, at least one inlet for a heat-transfer fluid which, after having heated up in the tank, leaves it through at least one outlet to be used for other purposes.
The tank is therefore autonomous and simply rests on the hearth. Part of the heat from this is transmitted to the heat transfer fluid by the walls in contact, when the rest is radiated into the ambient medium by the surfaces of the hearth which are not covered by said device.
According to a particularly preferred embodiment of the present invention, the tank essentially has the shape of an inverted U, the base of which has a recess which adapts to the narrower upper part.
of the hearth, which forms the smoke evacuation duct of the hearth, for example a RUMAX hearth (commercial name)
The inlet ports of the heat transfer fluid which is advantageously water, are preferably arranged at the ends of the uprights of the U formed by said tank.
<EMI ID = 1.1>
advantageously to the sum of the sections of the inlet orifices, is advantageously disposed at the upper part of the tank, namely in the core of the U formed by said tank.
According to a particularly preferred embodiment of the present invention, the walls of the tank consist of a sheet of steel. They can however also consist of a sheet of copper or even hammered copper. In order to be able to use the tank itself as a radiator, it will not be isolated from the ambient environment. It is however possible to provide thermal insulation covering the external walls of said tank. so that you can use as much heat as possible in the auxiliary circuit.
Preferably, the heat transfer fluid is water as indicated above. However, another heat transfer fluid can be used, such as oil for example.
According to another embodiment of the present invention, the tank comprises, in the core of the U, a removable plate provided with a coil immersed in the heat transfer fluid which is contained in said tank according to the invention and fittings d 'inlet and outlet for connecting said coil to an external circuit, such as a distribution of sanitary water for example.
The present invention will be described in more detail, by way of example, without limiting it, with reference to the appended figures in which:
FIG. 1 represents a hearth provided with a device according to the invention,
FIG. 2 represents the device of the invention comprising a coil intended for sanitary water,
- Figure 3 shows a view along line C - C of fig.l.
Referring to Figure 1, we see that a hearth 1 comprising, at the front a door 2, and at the rear a chimney nozzle 3 and provided with a device 5 according to the invention. The device 5 consists of a tank generally having the shape of an inverted U, the core 6 of which has a recess 7 adapted so as to receive the chimney 3 or the smoke collector 8 of the hearth.
Each upright of the inverted U has, at its lower end, an inlet 9 for the heat transfer fluid which will heat up along the walls of the hearth by carrying out an upward movement favored by the convection.
before leaving the tank via the 9 'connector.
According to a particularly advantageous embodiment, the external water circuit consisting of a
or several radiators and comprising a pump or a circulator suitable for 1 "piping divides into two 1/2" conduits which form a coil around the chimney before entering the lower part of the
tank according to the invention.
Referring to Figure 2, we see that the
tank 5 according to the invention comprises, in the core of the U, namely at its upper part a removable plate 10 which
is fixed to the tank 5 by means of bolts 11, for example,
and which is fitted with a coil 12. Adequate seals
are also provided (not shown). Said coil
12 is immersed in the fluid of the tank 5 to heat the domestic water, for example, which is admitted into the coil, by the inlet fitting 13 and discharged by the outlet fitting 14.
Fig.3 shows in detail, a preferred embodiment of the present invention in which the inlet pipes 16,17 form turns around the smoke exhaust pipe 3 before entering the tank 5. From preferably, a 1 "duct, for example, is divided into two 1/2" ducts which are wound, each separately, around the flue gas exhaust duct.
In a variant (not shown), it is possible to form two coils arranged one after the other on the flue gas exhaust duct 3. In the embodiment
<EMI ID = 2.1>
wound around the smoke evacuation duct 3 while remaining parallel and each time forming a turn composed of a pair of ducts 16, 17.
One can also provide a safety group 15. / It can therefore be seen that the present invention provides a simple device, namely an independent tank, making it possible to better exploit the heat energy diffused by a hearth of the aforementioned type.
It should be noted that the present specification only presents one particular embodiment, while many modifications coming within the scope of the present invention are still possible. Thus, one can for example provide a multitude of heat transfer fluid inlets along the lower part of the tank so as to ensure a better distribution of the latter in the tank and, consequently, so as to improve the yield of the heat exchange between the hearth and the heat transfer fluid contained in the tank.
It should also be noted that the hot water circuit produced by the fireplace can be connected to an existing conventional central heating circuit. In this case, a connection valve will preferably be provided.
The fuel of the fluid is of any kind, wood, brick, coal etc.
