<EMI ID=3.1>

"Improvement in the method of fixing a cremone bolt to a tubular window frame".
The present invention relates to an improvement
the method of fixing a lock to a tubular frame of
window or the like, the cremone bolt comprising an articulated handle
on a gear body fixed to the frame and extending from
on both sides of the hinge pin of the handle, the handle
carrying a fork for controlling a locking linkage
the window in the closed position, the frame having a buttonhole for entering the fork into the frame.

<EMI ID = 2.1>
is cylindrical; it designates any chassis with a closed longitudinal cavity.
There are known cremones whose body is accessible, along its external face directed towards the handle, from
on either side of the hinge pin of the handle, at least when the handle is in its raised position which corresponds to unlocking the linkage, for opening the window; these cremones are fixed to the frame by their placement against the frame and their immobilization by means of two screws which each pass through a hole made in the gear body on either side of the hinge pin of the handle and enter into a threaded channel of the frame.
These cremones are not suitable for tilting windows around a horizontal axis in which the opening member is located on the lower cross member of the frame, because the extrusion of the handle, in the window open position, is at this important point that the handle abuts against the window frame and prevents the opening maneuver.

handles mounted so as to rotate in the frame, these handles carrying a pinion for actuating two rack rods; this realization is however costly both in parts and in labor.
On the other hand, cremones with a short handle travel are known, having a fork length large enough to allow the actuation of a tilting window linkage around a horizontal axis, the body of which

used for tubular frame windows.
The object of the invention is to make it possible to provide a tubular window frame or the like, in particular the lower horizontal cross member of a tubular window frame tilting around a horizontal axis, with a cremone bolt.
of the aforementioned type. To this end, in accordance with the present invention, on the side which extends under the handle, the lock body has a rod terminated by a head and the frame has a slot whose profile defines an entry zone.
of the rod in the frame and a blocking zone of said
rod head inside the frame.
Preferably, according to the invention, said slot extends the entry buttonhole of the fork in the frame.
- It is understood that with the combination of means proposed, the lock is placed on the frame so that the head of the rod enters the enlarged zone of the buttonhole or slot, then the lock is slid so that the rod is blocked in the frame, thereby blocking the gear body; one then introduces a screw of the
opposite side of the lock body, which conventionally has a suitable hole, located, after the described positioning of the lock, in the extension of a threaded channel of the frame.
Other details and particularities of the invention will emerge from the description given below, without limitation, of a preferred embodiment of the invention, with reference to the drawings, in which:
FIG. 1 represents an exploded view of a section of a tubular frame, and of a gear, intended to be associated in accordance with the present invention. Figure 2 shows a plan view of the chassis <EMI ID = 7.1>
Figure '3 shows a sectional view, according to
line III-III of FIG. 2, of the tubular frame to which. was associated the cremone.
In the various figures, the same reference numerals designate identical elements.
The window frame section, shown. corresponds to the lower cross member of a window frame tilting about a horizontal axis, as is well known.
- Note that the frame 1 comprises a tubular profile, the generally rectangular cavity of which bears the reference 2; to this profile is associated a rod 3 for controlling the locking of the window in position
closing, rod 3 whose movement is in turn controlled by a lock 4.
The gear comprises a gear body 5, a handle 6 and a fork 7. The fork 7 is mounted fixedly on a pin 8 by which the handle is mounted in an articulated manner on the body 5.
The front face 9, of the frame profile 1, has a buttonhole 10 for the introduction of the fork 7 of the lock. Finally, a 'bolt 11, passing through a threaded hole in the rod 3, also passes through the fork 7 and constitutes

a long fork lock ensuring the required displacement of the rod for a low angle of rotation of its handle. This lock has the particularity that part 12 of its
body located on the side which extends under the handle 7, is so short that it cannot be accessed, for fixing the
